   CONDITIONS FOR OBTAINING VISAS FOR NIGER 

       As of September 25, 2007, the conditions for obtaining an entry visa in Niger are:

  • A passport valid for at least six months
  • Three (3) visa forms to fill and signers (addresses in Canada and Niger, although accurate)
  • Three (3) passport photos updated passport-size high quality and taken by a professional photographer (though include the full name on back)
  • One (1) letter explaining the purpose of your visit to Niger
  • A photocopy of your itinerary or airline ticket
  • A prepaid envelope for return of your passport
  • A money order (postal or bank money order or certified check) to:       

                CAN $ 83.00 for a stay exceeding 30 days

               CAN $ 123.00 for a stay of one to three months

               CAN $ 160.00 multiple entry visa for a stay of three months maximum

  • Payment by debit card, Visa or cash is not accepted
  • A vaccination certificate valid
  • The period of validity of the visa run from the date of entry in Niger
  • Proof of custody (father, mother, guardian) must accompany the passport of a minor
  • A minimum of 5 working days required for processing the application
  • The visa section is open Monday through Friday from 9 hours to 12 hours
  • Note: The term of visa validity runs from the date of entry to Niger.

   Conditions for Obtaining Visas for Diplomatic and Courtesy

      As of September 25, 2007, the conditions for obtaining visas and diplomatic courtesy are the following:

  •  A diplomatic passport or service (special passport) valid for at least six months
  • Three (3) visa forms to fill and signers (addresses in Canada and Niger, although accurate)
  • Three (3) passport photos updated passport-size high quality and taken by a professional photographer (though include the full name on back)
  • One (1) note verbale from the Competent Authority explaining the purpose of your visit to Niger
  • A vaccination certificate valid
  • A photocopy of your itinerary or airline ticket
  • The period of validity of the visa run from the date of entry in Niger
  • Proof of custody (father, mother or guardian) must accompany the passport of a minor
  • A minimum of 5 working days required for processing the application
  • The visa section is open Monday through Friday from 9 hours to 12 hours
  • Note: The term of visa validity runs from the date of entry to Niger.

   REQUEST FOR EXTENSION OF PASSPORT  

  • An application form for passport extension to complete and sign
  • The old passport
  • Three (3) passport photos
  • The cost of stamps of $ 123.00 CAN
  • An application to the Embassy

   PASSPORT APPLICATION

    Renewing passport is in Niamey at the relevant departments and the passport application dossier includes regular

  • One (1) printed application form and signed by the applicant
  • One (1) certified copy of identity card or valid passport of the former
  • Four (4) passport photos
  • The cost of stamps valued at 50 000 FCFA
  • A certified copy of birth certificate for minor children under 15 years.

   FOREIGN NGO AGREEMENT APPLICATION

      Documents to be Furnished by the NGO for the Purpose of Receiving a Provisional Recipicé

  • In accordance with Article 7 of l’Ordonnance No 8406 of the 1st March 1984, covering rules for associations, the Foreign NGO Agreement Application should be
  • deposited with Niger’s Diplomatic Mission.

        The file must include the following documents:

  • By-Laws
  • Internal regulations
  • The NGO’s plan of action in Niger
  • List of founding members
  • The legal status of the NGO in Canada
  • List of current officers and officials
  • The last Annual Report of the organization
  • An official letter of accreditation for the NGO’s representative in Niger along with the person’s Curriculum Vitae
